Pre Treatment Instructions

  • Sun avoidance and sun protection will reduce risk of hyper or hypo pigmentation and epidermal effects. Light to moderately tanned skin can be treated with appropriate parameters. Deeply tanned skin should be treated a month after sun exposure.
  • Stop applying medications or irritating agents to the skin for 1-2 days before treatment.
  • Shave treatment area one day before treatment. For rapidly growing areas, such as a man's beard, shaving may be done on day of treatment.
  • Treatment area should be clean, with no lotion, make-up, deodorant, perfume, or sunscreen before treatment.
  • Wait at least two weeks after chemical peel or injections in treatment area before hair removal treatment.
  • Wait at least 4 weeks before treating if you had electrolysis, waxed, tweezed, or plucked in the treatment area.
  • Wait at least 2 weeks before treating if you had collagen injections or other fillers or injectibles in treatment area.
  • Consultations and test patches are always free.

Contra-indications for Hair Removal

  • Dermatologic conditions, skin disease (acute or chronic)
  • bleeding disorder, bruise easily
  • pigmentation disorder
  • history of cold sores
  • history of keloid scarring
  • endocrine / hormone issues
  • pacemaker / defibrillator
  • accutane within 6 months
  • history of skin cancer
  • photoallergic
  • laser resurfacing in treatment area within 3 months
  • poorly controlled diabetes
  • pregnancy
  • medications that may cause photosensitivity
  • allergy to nickel
